PROJECT BACKGROUND Olin offers a Principles of Engineering course that exposes students to an open-ended team project of their own design that includes significant mechanical and electronic components. My team chose to build a remote-control hovercraft on a 2 to 3 foot scale. We had tons of fun on this project, which we code named "Big Bird".
